ChartWater™ introduces SDOX® technology in UK

ChartWater | February 24, 2025

ChartWater is pleased to expand the supersaturated dissolved oxygen technology offering and Treatment-as-a-Service business model to the United Kingdom, based out of its facilities there beginning in Q2 2025.

Used widely throughout North and South America for almost 20 years, SDOX® technology is a proven method for remediating spills of untreated sewage into local rivers, oxygenating biological wastewater treatment processes at sewage and industrial wastewater treatment facilities, as well as providing pretreatment, odor, and corrosion control in collection systems.

Paired with ChartWater™’s Treatment-as-a-Service business model that combines the technology with operational engineering services via a monthly contract, customers benefit from the access to leading technology with the financial flexibility of a monthly contract and the peace of mind of an award-winning team of engineers and operators to train and support customer operations.

“The preliminary response among ChartWater customers is very positive” notes Tyler Elm, Global Solution Manager for SDOX® Technology. “SDOX has been used to mitigate sewage spills in US rivers and oxygenate wastewater treatment plants for almost two decades and is also used in Brazil as a permanent tactic to address chronic discharges of untreated sewage into local waterways. Our customers in the UK are excited to have this solution available to them and the Treatment-as-a-Service offering enables a timely response to wet spills, failed aeration equipment, and other operational needs – all without having to tap their capital budget”. Tyler Elm, added “We’ve also had tremendous interest from the innovation departments of public utilities and contract operators. Treatment-as-a-Service aligns with those wanting to implement a fast-follower approach to adopting proven innovations from other markets. Operational staff value the remote support and guidance from ChartWater™ engineers and field technicians experienced with the technology and processes to effectively and efficiently transfer the insights and know-how from previous engagements from a variety of municipal and industrial markets.”
